reiki level i training

Level I: Saturday + Sunday, October 5 - 6, 2019, 12-3 pm both days

Reiki ("ray-kee") is a Japanese word translated as “universal life force energy”. It is a healing technique that promotes wellness by sending positive intention through the hands.

Reiki has become increasingly popular as a complementary healing modality in health care facilities, hospitals, wellness centers and yoga studios. Reiki supports other healing methods and is of growing interest to medical doctors, nurses, therapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, yoga teachers and other professional care providers. Reiki

Learning Reiki requires no special skill, and is open to everyone. The emphasis is on self care and learning to share Reiki with others. Many people who are trained in Reiki begin by using it for their families and friends.

Reiki I is the first level of training to perform Reiki. This 2-day class will provide six hours of discussion, instruction, and hands on demonstration of how to apply Reiki to yourself and others. In an effort to experience and embody the practice of Reiki, we will explore Reiki history, techniques, principles, positive intention, and the human energy system as it relates to the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual body.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing in layers, bring any extra supportive props such as an eye pillow, a cushion, or a blanket to assist you during class. We will have informal breaks as needed, feel free to bring a drink or a light snack. Please do not wear perfume or cologne, some people may be allergic.

Price

$125 for the program (members receive up to 20% off), includes 6 hours of training, learning manual, and certificate of completion.

Participation in both days is required to obtain a certificate of completion. Each student will receive a learning manual with resources, and a Reiki Level I attunement. Six hours of Yoga Alliance continuing education is available for yoga teachers.

Note: This training is limited to 10 people.

Reiki IIreiki level ii

Level II: Sunday, November 2, 2019, 12-4 pm

Reiki II is the second level of training enabling the practitioner to access a higher level of energy through the second degree attunement. In this 1-day class, three sacred symbols and mantras will be shared:

  • The Power symbol
  • The Mental/Emotional symbol
  • The Distance symbol

We will discuss special ways of using them for self care, treatments on other people, plants and animals. Additional Japanese Reiki techniques will be taught, along with a deeper exploration and review of the chakra system. Many people decide to progress to this level to reinforce their personal practice and spiritual development.

Reiki remains a wonderful complement to many forms of health and wellness, and acquiring more knowledge on a subject of interest enhances the ability to perform it. If you are drawn to further your Reiki training, you will know when the time is right.

Practitioners are advised to allow a minimum of twenty-one days between levels. This allows for daily self Reiki treatments to gently assist the clearing of negative, stagnant energy and the space to practice giving Reiki to others.ReikiTraining-March2019

We will open with a guided meditation and self Reiki treatment. Each practitioner will receive the second degree attunement, followed by the three sacred symbols of Reiki II. Special time will be given to creatively connect with the symbols and integrate them into the practice.

The chakra system will be explored more thoroughly as it relates to the physical, mental, and emotional body. The rest of the day will be spent applying additional Reiki techniques and the three sacred symbols while exchanging Reiki treatments on each other.

Previous Reiki I training is required to become a Reiki Level II practitioner. A learning manual, certificate, and 4 hours of Yoga Alliance continuing education will be provided. Wear loose, comfortable clothing in layers, and eat lightly before class.

Bring any extra supportive props such as an eye pillow, a cushion or a blanket to assist you sitting or lying down during class. Please do not wear perfume or cologne as some people may be allergic.
