Take your yoga outside with us this summer for limited in-person classes.
 

Classes will take place at Condon Shell Park, on the west side under the trees.

Price: $25 per person or 4-pack for $81. Space is limited to 11 students

borealis Safety Protocol & Procedures:

Please review the borealis Safe Operation Plan that follows. The following safety protocols are to be adhered to by all customers when attending an activity or event with borealis. Activities include yoga, meditation, and movement classes, as permitted by the City of Medford and the State of Massachusetts. borealis will continue to comply with the mandatory safety measures required by the state of Massachusetts during the re-opening period and until further notice. 

GENERAL SAFETY PROTOCOLS:

All registrations for all events must be made in advance. No drop-ins permitted. No refunds or exchanges. Registration may not be transferred to another person due to regulations. If class is cancelled by borealis due to weather, or other reason, we will reschedule for a later date.

Please arrive no later than 10 minutes before class time. Late arrivals will not be admitted. Please bring your face covering, water, sunscreen, and personal yoga mat or towel with you.

Outdoor classes will take place on the west side of Condon Shell Park under the trees, Mystic Valley Parkway. Free parking is available in the lot adjacent to the Condon Shell. There are no restrooms available at the park. Please make arrangements accordingly. 

borealis’s COVID-19 Control plan and WELCOME SAFETY STANDARDS will be posted at each location upon arrival for all students to review.

AFFIRMATION OF HEALTH:

By registering you affirm that you confirm that you are healthy, present no symptoms of illness, have had a chance to consult with a doctor about your participation in this activity, and understand the risks inherent in your participation. If you present with symptoms after registration but before the activity, please stay home for the safety of others. All participants must complete the waiver found here.

SOCIAL DISTANCING PLAN:

All participants and instructors must maintain 6ft social distancing guidelines at all times. When social distancing is not possible, face coverings are required, unless there is an emergency, in which staff members and instructors may be required to assist one another. In case of an emergency, every attempt will be made to maintain social distancing, and/or wear protective equipment.

All classes will be limited to a total of 10 persons including the instructor, unless otherwise allowed by the City of Medford and/or the State of Massachusetts. Participants are required to wear a face covering upon arrival, while prepping for class, and at any and all times when social distancing cannot be maintained. Participants will set up their mat or towel with a minimum of 6feet in between participants and instructor(s). Once on the yoga mat, face coverings may be removed and stowed during class. 

HYGIENE PROTOCOLS:

All students and staff members must clean hands at the provided hand washing/sanitizing station upon arrival and departure. 

Participants are responsible for bringing their own yoga mat or towel, and other equipment, for use during class. We recommend that participants clean and sanitize their personal equipment before arriving on site. No shared equipment will be provided or permitted. 

STAFF PROTOCOLS:

All staff members have been provided training to adhere to and follow the safety protocols listed above.

Should a staff member display symptoms of illness, they are asked to stay home. They are asked not to return to work until they are feeling better, and have been either tested negative or self-quarantined for a minimum of 14 days.

Should a staff member test positive for COVID-19, they are asked to stay home and not return to work for a period of 14 days.

Instructors will arrive 15 minutes before class start time to prepare the site, greet participants, confirm registration, and advise participants on set up and safety rules in order to comply with city and state regulations.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Complying with these rules means that we can have more of these classes and more yoga fun outdoors. Let’s get on the mat!

Christine Tresselt’s joyful, inspirational approach is rooted in her deeply-held belief that yoga heals the body and mind.  Christine’s devotion to yoga as a therapeutic art has inspired her to pursue Reiki training in order to deepen her teaching and personal yoga practice. Her classes combine strength-building for physical fitness, which is inspired by Broga®, balanced with restorative poses and mindful meditation that calm and soothe the soul. Holly Cariddi came to yoga out of a personal need to find space to slow down, ground, and make self-care a priority. Her journey through yoga has led her to teaching and through teaching to fulfill a desire to support others’ journey. Loni Paul's yoga practice has served her to overcome chronic pain, and with creativity and compassion, to return her body to a state of health and well-being. She brings this personal experience to my teaching of yoga—a blend of meditative, slow-flow, chakra (energy)-based practice with key elements of yin yoga—which is grounded in self-acceptance and a healthy dose of friendliness. Her goal is always to make the yoga practice accessible to all, with the intention of creating a safe, respected and yet adventurous space for her students to explore and celebrate their unique abilities and potential.

May you step off the mat feeling refreshed, restored and balanced. Loni's 200-hour Teacher Training with Nicole Grant and Maureen Miller and Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Josh Summers have shaped both her practice and her style of teaching. She is a Reiki Practitioner and currently pursuing a Masters of Science in Nutrition. Loni also creates handmade gemstone jewelry and mala necklaces.

Linda DeVincentis has been practicing yoga for more than fifteen years. She is warm-hearted and approachable and brings that into her classes as well. Linda guides students through a practice filled with positive energy, a focus on breath, alignment and body awareness. She invites you to calm the pace of life, and connect with a deep sense of peace and joy.

Linda’s practice has expanded significantly through the teachings of several gifted instructors from diverse traditions including Yoga of Energy Flow, Iyengar, Kripalu, Pathways, Meridian Yoga, and Yoga Nidra and her teaching reflect this full palette of styles and techniques.

Greta Fiorina began practicing yoga in 2001. She quickly discovered that a regular yoga brought a new sense of calm and steadiness to her life. With a background in education, and a passion for helping others, teaching yoga to adults and children, was a natural fit. Greta is a 200 RYT, and has completed certifications in YogaFit, Restorative yoga, SPA Yoga with Bette Riaz, a 200 Hour Vinyasa Teacher Training with David Magone, and Yoga and Mindfulness for Children Teacher Training with ChildLight Yoga.

She believes yoga has something to offer everyone, and encourages students to come to their mats to quiet their minds, reconnect with the power of breath, and move joyfully.
