This is an intimate and intensive course designed to help you establish your own unique mindfulness practice, teach you techniques that can help reduce physical and emotional symptoms made worse by stress, and increase your peace and quality of life.

MBSR's primary aim is to develop skills that can be flexibly applied in everyday life to stress, pain, and illness. The intensive MBSR program includes 5 classes, a day-long retreat, numerous resources, recordings and weekly home practices to support engagement and personal growth. Although practices that involve stillness and silence are introduced during the course, classes are dynamic and include a variety of activities.
Most classes involve mindful movement, discussions on the science of stress, inquiry into personal sources of stress and stress perception; as well as a number of mindful formal and informal practices.
The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program is an evidence-based, highly experiential course that has been researched for more than 30 years and is offered around the world. It was originally developed at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD.

This program will be taught by Natalia Cepeda, qualified and experienced teacher of MBSR trained by the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

Day-long Retreat: Sunday March 22 - 11:30am-5:00pm

Open to individuals with all levels of mindfulness and meditation experience, including beginners.

NataliaCepeda_HeadshotNatalia Cepeda is a qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher, and Mindful Schools Certified Instructor. She is also an Option Process® counselor and yoga teacher. Natalia started meditation studies as a child in her native Argentina; and spent most of her life teaching children and adults languages, and later on yoga and Mindfulness. Currently, Natalia teaches Mindfulness at Cambridge Public Schools and provides Mindfulness training programs to colleges in the Boston area.
