Chair Yoga for Better Balance, Posture, and Fall Prevention

Meets Tuesday and Thursday mornings at the studio 10:30-11:30 am.
Chair Yoga will introduce you to a series of the most effective yoga poses, all done from the comfort and safety of a chair, or with a combination of a mat and a chair or wall for support.
Chair yoga is beneficial for travelers, golfers, truckers, and those who are desk-bound. It is also beneficial to women who are pregnant or postpartum, to seniors and to persons with conditions such as arthritis, Parkinson’s, fibromyalgia, cardio-vascular issues, MS, POTS (Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome).orthopedic conditions, etc.
The classes will consist of brief breathing exercises or meditations, joint warm-ups, spinal movements, other essential body movements and a selection of traditional yoga poses such as Warrior 1, Warrior 2, Triangle, Dancer’s, Crane, Tree, Eagle and many more.
If you are someone who believes that he or she cannot do yoga because you are too stiff and your joints hurt, this is the perfect class to maximize your potential and get you started on a path to better health.
